Tourmaline Life Center has books, video, and audio resources – 3,000 volumes in all. These can be reviewed on the premises before purchasing from Amazon or elsewhere. Some are available to check out for home use. From time to time Tourmaline Life Center sponsors a dialogue group for those interested in digging deeper in a particular area. Enlightenment for the 21st Century -- How to Live the Spiritual Life
Andrew Cohen (www.andrewcohen.org) is Ken Wilber’s regular sparring partner in the magazine “What Is Enlightenment.” In this 1-hour video, subtitled “How to Life the Spiritual Life,” Cohen gives a comprehensive overview of spirituality. It is a presentation he gave in November 2003 in Copenhagen. In this presentation, Cohen builds on his experiences from the East, develops contrasts between the world of ego and the world of self and gives five contrasting tenets between these two worlds. He shows how to enter the world of non-duality and emphasizes the role of meditation and self-responsibility. David Hawkins, MD, Ph.D, is the author of numerous scientific papers and
videotapes; in 1973 he co-authored the innovative work "Orthomolecular Psychiatry
with Nobel Prize Winner Linus Pauling. POWER vs. FORCE is the culmination of twenty
years' research. In it, David Hawkins shows the ability of kinesiological testing
to distinguish truth or falsehood in any statement—an astonishing idea in itself, with far
reaching implications for every aspect of human life. He goes on to demonstrate the

The Dark Night of the Soul
Gerald May, M.D., practiced medicine and psychiatry for twenty-five years before joining the fulltime staff at the Shalem Institute for Spiritual Formation in Bethesda, Maryland, where he is now Senior Fellow in Contemplative Theology and Psychology. He is the author of many books and articles blending spirituality and psychology, including Addiction and Grace, Care of Mind/Care of Spirit, Will and Spirit, and The Awakened Heart. The Dark Night of the Soul, published in 2004, is his most recent book.
